From timeless melodies and devotional songs to modern compositions, Odia music has shaped generations and preserved our emotions, traditions, and stories. Yet, despite its rich legacy, there has never been a dedicated platform exclusively focused on discussing the journey, creativity, and contribution of Odia music personalities.
With this vision, DND Creations proudly launched Geeta Gapa in 2025 — a first-of-its-kind podcast dedicated entirely to the world of Odia music.
As the producer of Geeta Gapa and founder of DND Creations, my objective has always been to create meaningful content that preserves and promotes our musical heritage. Geeta Gapa is not merely a podcast; it is an archive of memories, experiences, and untold stories from the people who have shaped Odia music over the decades.
The program is hosted by Ramakrushna Barik, a respected content writer, voice-over artist, and journalist, whose experience and understanding of media add depth to every conversation. The visual language of the podcast is crafted by our Director of Photography, Abhisek Bhuyan, who brings his extensive experience from both government and private sectors in Odisha.
The advisory team of Geeta Gapa includes noted media professional Amlan Badan Pattanaik, senior journalist and writer Dhrutikam Mohanty, and motivator and influencer Sibasish Nanda. Their guidance has played a significant role in shaping the vision and direction of this initiative.
Every episode of Geeta Gapa explores the stories behind Odia songs and the creative minds who have made them unforgettable. The podcast features singers, music composers, lyricists, musicians, recordists, music directors, and various contributors from the music industry. Both veteran and emerging talents are invited to share their journeys, struggles, experiences, and creative processes.
The primary objective of Geeta Gapa is to discuss music and its ecosystem. The platform serves as an educational resource for aspiring musicians, music students, researchers, and music lovers. Through meaningful conversations, listeners can understand not only the songs but also the effort, dedication, and artistry behind them.
Unlike many contemporary media platforms that often prioritize sensationalism and TRP-driven discussions, Geeta Gapa consciously stays away from personal controversies and political debates. The focus remains solely on music, creativity, culture, and learning.
New episodes of Geeta Gapa are released on the last Friday of every month, and release updates are regularly shared through the official social media platforms of DND Creations.
As a creator and producer, I believe that preserving our musical heritage is a collective responsibility. Geeta Gapa is a humble effort to document the voices, memories, and contributions of Odia music personalities for present and future generations.
